A. Reporting Incidents

The reporting of criminal actions or other emergency conditions is the responsibility of all members of the college community. When a criminal act or an emergency condition is recognized or witnessed between Mondays through Saturdays, the college employee are required to immediately dial 255 and report the condition to the college security person on duty. The person in charge will investigate the situation and determine the proper action, according to the degree of the emergency:

  • In a criminal act involving: (i) murder, (ii) rape (iii) robbery, (iv) aggravated assault (v) burglary, and (vi) motor vehicle theft. The person in charge will then notify the Top Management
  • In a misdemeanor or violation of college regulations: i.e. trespassing, destruction of state property, etc, the person in charge will take the necessary action and report the culprit to Top Management. The college's student disciplinary procedures will be followed. In the case of a non-student, or the degree of the violation, the local police agency may be called.
  • Accidents: The degree of any accident will determine the action taken by the security person on duty, application of first aid or call for emergency medical aid. In the event of an accident involving a vehicle, the local police will be notified
  • Fire emergency: When a fire condition is recognized anytime between 8am to 6pm by a college employee, he/ she will immediately go to the nearest fire alarm pull box and set off the alarm

During the hours from 7pm to 7am, Mondays through Fridays and all day Saturdays and Sundays, on-duty security personnel will respond to any of the above conditions by calling the local police and/ or local fire department (as required). In every instance, the Top Management will be notified.
